Rental terms
These are the numbers the booking engine enforces and your rental agreement repeats. There is one source for each of them, so this page cannot drift from what you actually sign.
Minimum stay
Minimum stay is 1 night.
Paying
You pay 30% when you book. The rest is due before you collect the van. Your card is never charged again without you agreeing to it first.
Protection and the security deposit
Every van carries the insurance Albanian law requires. The protection you choose sets the most you would pay towards damage — the excess — and the deposit held on your card at pickup. The deposit is a hold, not a charge, and it is released after the van comes back.
The protection you buy from us is not insurance. It is an agreement that we will not charge you more than the excess if the van is damaged, and it is between you and GoVan — there is no insurer and no claim to make. The van's own motor insurance is separate, is required by law, and covers other people rather than the van.

If you cancel
Counted in whole days before your pickup date. The percentage is of what you have actually paid.

Driving the van
- Kilometres
- Unlimited, on every van.
- Fuel
- Collected full, returned full.
- Pets
- Welcome in every van, at no extra cost.
- Who may drive
- At least 21, licence held 2 years. A category B licence covers every van in the fleet. Non-EU licences need an International Driving Permit alongside the original.
- Across a border
- Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Greece. Tell us at least three days before you collect the van, so the green card is issued for the right countries.
What else could be charged
These are the only charges that can ever be added, and every one of them is avoidable. They cover what the event actually costs us — they are not penalties.

Anything not on this list is only ever charged at what it actually cost us, with the invoice sent to you and fourteen days to query it before it comes out of the deposit.
